Pulmonary Lesions & Lung Nodules - what to look for and when to refer?
The John Fawkner Private Hospital invites General Practitioners to attend this live, online and interactive meeting presented by Dr Bassem Dawood and Mr Krishna Bhagwat.
Diagnosis of lung cancer at the earliest stage of disease is strongly associated with improved survival. Therefore, although recent advances in oncology may herald breakthroughs in effective treatment, achieving early diagnosis will remain crucial to obtaining optimal outcomes. This is challenging, as most lung cancer symptoms are non-specific or are common respiratory symptoms which usually represent benign disease. Identification of patients at risk of lung cancer who require further investigation is an important responsibility for general practitioners.
Through this activity, GP's will be able to:
- Gain knowledge of assessing the risk of lung cancer in lung modules;
- Become aware of cancer services in the area;
- Learn the possible complications post-lung surgery;
- Manage and survey long-term lung cancer patients.
Healthscope is a CPD education provider under the RACGP CPD Program.
GPs are invited to direct any pre-meeting questions Pauline Naug, Healthscope BDM (email@example.com).
